Saberdog · for capital, and for the desk that keeps the ink
The Benchmark Fond
A pen does not raise. It writes.
Saberdog is the pen. Not the novel, not the bank, not the table. The instrument that puts a name on a page and leaves the page with its owner.
Capital is asked to look at the pen, not the speech about the pen. The work is already up. The prices are on the menu. Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The phone answers.
The fond
Fond, here, means the ground under the mark. The ink. The still money. The part a bank already knows how to hold, and that a studio should not have to invent.
We are raising so the pen stays a pen. Today a membership clears on someone else’s counter. The fond is the day it clears in our name. We will not say which rail. The rail is theirs. The mark is ours.
What the ink requires
A still place
Money that belongs to a house should rest in that house’s name. Not in a marketplace’s pocket.
A clearing
When someone takes a membership or a card, the line should complete. We do not need to name the wire that did it.
A signature already accepted
One name that can sign for the studio. Not a charter. Not a new kind of bank.
Rails that remain rails
The infrastructure stays infrastructure. We write on it. We do not become it.
What we will not be
We will not be the vault.
We will not rent the lead and call it a platform.
We will not hand you a deck in place of the object.
If you are the hand that funds the ink, the menu is the work. If you are the desk that keeps the ink, the need is the four lines above. Either way, the pen is the same.
This is not a term sheet.
